Friend Ships
Tour the Fleet of Friend Ships

The fleet of Friend Ships consists of more than just ships. The staff of our headquarters in Lake Charles, Louisiana runs the hub of this massive wheel, coordinating and organizing supplies, securing necessary resources for the operations, conducting the administration of the organization and operating the productive Storehouse One food program, providing communication between facilities and also with the organization's donors.

"Friend Ships Village", on the island of Roatán, Honduras, was birthed in 1997. This program is being established as an exciting, integrated system that will reach out to the community on many levels, including disaster relief, job training, Bible school, agricultural development programs, island wide computer training, emergency medical services and volunteer fire fighting.

Fun Fact:  Friend Ships vessels are registered in the United States -

the only US flagged mercy ships.

Spirit of Grace - donned by the Son!Friend Ships has delivered over 100 million dollars worth of aid to more than 30 nations. Owning and operating our own ships greatly enhances our ability to provide and actually transport supplies to their ultimate destination.

Spirit, our first ship, was reactivated and ready for service by 1990. Since that time, the ship has traveled on many voyages delivering love to Central America, the Caribbean, Eastern Europe, the former USSR and Africa.

Spirit and Spirit of Grace are Knot Class ships, built in 1944 to carry supplies and servicemen overseas. Even though the Spirit and Spirit of Grace are built similarly, each one has a different story they share. Read more about our Knot Class vessels.
